Anti-social behaviour (ASB)
Swiftly responding to incidents of ASB and effectively using policing powers available to intervene - including powers of dispersal where the actions of individuals or groups impact their wider surroundings; which can lead to wider harm, including the misuse of public spaces or buildings, criminal damage or vandalism, for example graffiti or damage to public buildings.
Action taken:
•Police continue working with partners and youth organisations, including schools and colleges to identify opportunities for early intervention with individuals at risk of causing ASB, with many youngsters spoken to about how their behaviours affect the wider community.
•Targeted patrols continue in the area, including in areas of reported anti-social behaviour (ASB), at peak times as reported by local residents, as well as planned increases during the Summer months and Summer school holidays.

Operation Downsway
Tackling both anti-social driving and dangerous driving associated with the fatal 5 driving offences, mobile phone use, no seatbelt, speeding, distracted driving and careless driving.
Action taken:
•Continued targeted patrols, educational and enforcement activities across the district continue in the Summer months, focused on targeting excess speed, distracted driving, and mobile phone use.
•Recent partner activities including alongside ESFRS in areas of high road usage saw days of action in areas of Ousedale, Phoenix Causeway and Nevill resulting in a number of traffic related offences, details published to Sussex Police website, and Lewes Police Facebook pages.
