Swiftly responding to incidents of ASB and effectively using policing powers available to intervene - including powers of dispersal where the actions of individuals or groups impact their wider surroundings; which can lead to wider harm, including the misuse of public spaces or buildings, criminal damage or vandalism, for example graffiti or damage to public buildings.
Issued 01 June 2026
•Additional patrols across the area to deter ASB and identify those involved.
•Hotspot areas and targeted patrols include around the Nevill estate and park areas, as well as down into the Ousedale estate, as well as reported ASB down from areas of the old racecourse and along Spital Road, following ASB associated with ASB driving, and reports of off-road motorbikes in the local estates.
•Officers also continue to engage with young people to identify those at risk of becoming involved in ASB, providing early support, building positive relationships, and working with partners to divert individuals away from offending behaviour and towards more constructive activities.
