Speeding / Anti-social driving
Issued 12 June 2026
We have taken proactive steps to address vehicle-related offences, including anti-social driving and vehicle theft. Using intelligence gathered through public reports and Operation Crackdown, officers have identified and targeted key individuals, resulting in arrests and disruption of offending behaviour.
Our patrols have been focused in hotspot areas, allowing us to respond quickly and take enforcement action where necessary. This ongoing work reflects our commitment to tackling dangerous driving, protecting property, and keeping our roads safe.

Anti-social behaviour
Issued 12 June 2026
We are intensifying our efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour through targeted, high-visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas. Officers are proactively identifying individuals responsible and addressing their behaviour through a range of proportionate and preventative measures.
These include delivering words of advice, building positive relationships with young people, engaging with parents and guardians, conducting community surveys to better understand local concerns, and issuing Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) where appropriate. This multi-faceted approach is designed to mitigate harm, prevent escalation, and provide early intervention.

Burglary
Issued 12 June 2026
Additional daytime and evening patrols are being carried out in rural areas to assess vulnerabilities and gather intelligence. These are supported by targeted operations during the late evening and early morning hours, aimed at deterring and disrupting theft and cross-border criminal activity.
We also continue to provide regular crime prevention advice to residents, farmers, and local businesses, focusing on improving security and implementing target hardening measures to reduce the risk of theft.
