Anti-social behaviour
Issued 10 June 2026
We are increasing our efforts and focusing on regular police patrols in hot spot areas, identifying those responsible, and addressing their behaviour through various measures such as words of advice, building positive relationships, engaging with parents, community surveys, and issuing Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) to mitigate harm and address concerns early.

Public Place Violent Crime
Issued 08 June 2026
We have significantly increased high-visibility patrols, particularly during late evenings and night-time economy hours, to deter violent behaviour and respond swiftly to any emerging incidents. Our officers also maintain a strong daytime presence to prevent disorder and provide visible reassurance to the public.
Through proactive policing, we have taken robust action against those involved in violent disorder. Arrests have been made where offences have occurred, and we continue to use the full range of policing powers available, including dispersal orders and Criminal Behaviour Orders, to disrupt offending and prevent further harm.
We are working closely with partner agencies to raise awareness of available support channels, reporting mechanisms, and safety advice remains central to our approach.
Our strategy is rooted in prevention, early intervention, and firm enforcement.

Shoplifting
Issued 08 June 2026
We are continuing to carry out daily high-visibility patrols in response to concerns raised in the area. Officers are regularly engaging with local businesses to offer reassurance, gather intelligence, and provide crime prevention advice.
With the recent introduction of the DISC system in Rother, local shops and businesses now have the ability to share real-time information about incidents and individuals of concern. This platform enhances communication between businesses and the police, helping to identify repeat offenders and prevent crime through a coordinated, community-led approach.
