Rural Crime - Burglary & Theft
Issued 11 June 2026
We’re working closely with the rural crime team to tackle issues like farm machinery theft.
Patrols have been increased in the most affected areas, and we’re keeping local residents informed with up-to-date crime prevention advice to help protect their property.

Speeding
Issued 11 June 2026
We continue to take firm and proactive steps to address concerns around speeding in the area. Targeted patrols and speed enforcement operations, working with Community Speed Watch, have been carried out in known hotspot locations, particularly those identified through community feedback and collision data. We have been using speed detection equipment to monitor driver behaviour, resulting in a number of warnings and enforcement actions, including fixed penalty notices and referrals for further investigation.
Our work is not limited to enforcement alone. We’ve also engaged with local residents and community groups to raise awareness of the dangers of speeding and promote safer driving habits. Educational campaigns and visibility of patrols have helped reinforce the message that speeding will not be tolerated.
