Your neighbourhood policing team
The Neighbourhood Inspector has overall responsibility for the entire neighbourhood policing team of Sergeants, Police Constables, PCSOs and police staff.
They are responsible for delivering on neighbourhood policing strategies, directing the deployment of the team and developing relationships with partners and key stakeholders, to enable the neighbourhood policing team to work effectively.
The Neighbourhood Sergeant provides frontline leadership to coordinate neighbourhood team activity, and works with the community, partners and other colleagues to deliver safer neighbourhoods.
This includes directing problem solving and engagement activity and being responsive to community needs.

Rogue trading and door-to-door scams in Beachlands Estate, and on South Coast Road.
Action taken:
We will be targeting our patrols in the areas most affected, working with the public and council to discuss crime prevention and spread awareness. Regular street meetings and scam awareness talks will continue to take place.

Anti-social driving - speeding
Action taken:
We will be cracking down on ASB driving throughout Pevensey, Westham and Stone Cross. Patrols throughout the area will target ASB drivers, and we encourage the public to continue reporting all ASB driving to us via Operation Crackdown.

Shoplifting and anti-social behaviour around Tesco Express, Stone Cross.
Action taken:
Patrols will continue in the area.
We will be using DISC and linking in with manager for continued reporting and evidence as well as linking in with security when present.
