• Continued targeted patrols to tackle drug related harm, including high visibility patrols of known areas of drug use and drug dealing including in local parks and car parks, a number of arrests for drug related offences in Trinity Car Park in recent months, patrols continue to identify offending.
• Continued work alongside partners, with referrals made to partner agencies to provide support and prevent further harm from known drug users in the area.
• A number of closure orders secured on properties causing drug related harm in your communities, details published to our Sussex Police news pages and Eastbourne Police Facebook page.

Operation Downsway
Our yearly campaign to address community concerns around road and driving related offences that fall into the fatal 5 driving offences.

• Summer days of action with our Fatal Five Team along Beachy Head Road, results included a number of offences identified and dealt with, including seatbelt offences, drivers using mobile phones, no insurance offences, speeding offences, vehicle defect notices and three vehicle seizures.
• Extra patrols, education and enforcement activity targeting speeding and distracted driving will continue across the district in the coming Autumn/Winter months, supported by a number of upcoming police operations, including Op Spotlight (speeding) and Op Limit (drink and drug driving).
