Shoplifting
Issued 07 March 2026
Police continue to tackle Theft and antisocial behaviour with daily and evening high-visibility patrols across the town and a regular presence at the newly installed pod, where officers are available to speak with the public. These proactive deployments are disrupting criminal activity, providing reassurance, and ensuring swift responses to incidents.
Officers are also engaging with local businesses to share crime prevention advice and gather intelligence. The DISC system strengthens this partnership by enabling quick and efficient reporting from shops and real-time information sharing, helping us identify repeat offenders and prevent crime. Through visible policing and community collaboration, we remain committed to keeping the town safe.
