  • Priority:

    Shoplifting

    Issued 07 March 2026

    Action taken:

Police continue to tackle Theft and antisocial behaviour with daily and evening high-visibility patrols across the town and a regular presence at the newly installed pod, where officers are available to speak with the public. These proactive deployments are disrupting criminal activity, providing reassurance, and ensuring swift responses to incidents.
Officers are also engaging with local businesses to share crime prevention advice and gather intelligence. The DISC system strengthens this partnership by enabling quick and efficient reporting from shops and real-time information sharing, helping us identify repeat offenders and prevent crime. Through visible policing and community collaboration, we remain committed to keeping the town safe.

  • Priority:

    Anti-social behaviour

    Issued 10 March 2026

    Action taken:

Police continue to tackle antisocial behaviour with daily and evening patrols and a regular presence at the newly installed pod, where officers are available to speak with the public. Our approach includes identifying those responsible, offering advice, engaging with parents and guardians, and using proportionate measures such as Community Protection Warnings (CPWs) where needed. By combining visible policing with early intervention, we aim to reduce ASB and improve community safety.

    Actioned 28 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Drug related activity

    Issued 07 March 2026

    Action taken:

Police continue to tackle drug-related activity in Bexhill’s central ward through regular hotspot patrols that are actively disrupting this behaviour. The Rother Neighbourhood Policing Team is working closely with the Tactical Enforcement Unit and Divisional Intelligence Unit to identify those involved, while maintaining strong community engagement. Our visible presence and targeted patrols remain key to reducing harm and improving safety in areas affected by drug criminality.

    Actioned 28 June 2026
